Customs truck arrival fees increase for fiscal year 2027

The adjustment covers single crossing charges and annual transponder prepayments. Carriers should update their border crossing accounts before the new fiscal year begins.
Customs user fees for commercial trucks are increasing. The new rates apply to all carriers crossing the border.
The adjusted fees take effect on October 1, 2026. Carriers must pay the new amounts for all border crossings after that date.
The single crossing fee for a commercial truck will be $7.60 for the customs portion. When combined with the required agricultural inspection fee, the total single crossing cost is $22.10.
The calendar year prepayment fee for trucks with a transponder will be $138.32 for the customs portion. The total annual fee including the agricultural inspection portion is $1,008.92.
The increase follows a 2.84 percent rise in the Consumer Price Index. Federal law requires the fees to adjust when inflation exceeds one percent.
